After being stuck upside for a while In other news, is Slammer still Slamming or has it died yet? Sitting at the benches by Burger King eating those marshmallows dipped in chocolate and watching Slammer failing is actually rather entertaining! It was so damn fast, much faster than I ever remember it before, and felt fantastic for it. Does seem like all the work to keep it running was worthwhile, for now at least. I still don't trust it for a second though. I have a horrible feeling the day it closes forever will be the day it tears itself apart mid ride. Totally disagree with you there, the reason I say that is because the motors that spin it reach a certain screaming level that I remember. Having rode it in previous years and watching a video where you can hear the motors in it, and then having rode it today and heard the motors again, the levels all sound the same. pluk Posted March 20, 2013 Report Share Posted March 20, 2013 Last time would have been towards the front end of last season. I don't know about motor noises, just the feeling it gave. The fact it came nowhere near levelling before changing direction suggests something about it is running differently, I've never had the direction change up sideways before.
