March 26, 20187 yr comment_256864 After a brief period of downtime on Saturday, Stealth was back up and running two trains like a dream - fair play to the ride team as they were always dispatching in the 40 second window, and the queue was moving quickly. There's a 2 second gap between "go go go!" and the green lights currently but I can forgive that for now. For all you fans out there, the two trains running are No. 2 and No. 3 #truefacts

April 4, 20187 yr comment_257164 I mean, I really don't understand how this has happened. Replacing the light bulb is an easy job, and how on earth has half the launch countdown been removed?
April 4, 20187 yr comment_257166 I always thought (maybe wrong but guessing!) the launch track was made up of 2 tracks, the place your heads back (or ready to go looking good back in the day!) then the 3 2 1, it sounds like they’ve just put the 3 2 1 bit on which plays as the first one should play, causing it all to be miss timed etc. Of course that could all be wrong but just a guess! Edit: Seems like it’s been fixed now
April 27, 20187 yr comment_257671 There was a particular group on the park yesterday, from "Essex". This did cause some delay to the ride loading and I politely reminded them that they were holding up the whole process. I'm sure they also caused some disruption on other rides, but then, I suppose it was the only way.
September 2, 20186 yr comment_259782 My mind has gone blank and I can't remember what stealth was originally going to be called. Anyone able to help me out? Also did they ever sell any merch with the original name on it?
September 2, 20186 yr comment_259783 I believe the name was going to be EdgeSent from my LG-M700 using Tapatalk
September 2, 20186 yr comment_259784 I believe the sign with Edge was installed at one point, and some merch with the name on was made, but never sold. There might be some of it still out there though I guess. Other names that were considered, but didn't get as far as Edge, were Humdinger and Jonny Rocket's Drag Race.
September 2, 20186 yr comment_259786 Thanks that was really starting to annoy me. Shame they didn't sell anything. I would have liked some incredibly nerdy and niche stealth/Edge stuff.
September 3, 20186 yr comment_259792 Wasn't it named that after a pizza hut variety at the time, then the sponsorship fell through? Good job, crap name.

There was a pizza called The Edge at the time, but that was sheer coincidence - there was never any talk of a pizza hut sponsorship! The 'Edge' logo looked exactly the same as the Stealth logo, with no sponsorship in sight!
September 3, 20186 yr comment_259797 Oh god No....... This conversation brings me back to southparks when there was a lot of hate on the name being "Stealth".
September 3, 20186 yr comment_259798 The rumour back then suggested they couldn’t use The Edge becusse of The Pizza Hut Pizza, wasn’t The Humdinger also in contention? Anyone got a list of the original suggested names?
September 24, 20186 yr comment_260344 So Stealth has 3 trains, but it can't possibly run more than 2 at once right?
September 24, 20186 yr comment_260345 13 minutes ago, A.T.I said: So Stealth has 3 trains, but it can't possibly run more than 2 at once right? That is correct, yes.
September 24, 20186 yr comment_260348 Besides it being impossible, there’d be absolutely no benefit to running more than two. Offload often takes longer to clear than the load station, delaying dispatches. This would be the exact same on three trains, just with an extra train stacked behind the offload platform.
September 24, 20186 yr comment_260349 I believe one is loading and launched, the second is unloading then loading, and the third is swapped off for maintenance to always keep two running. If you want a good example of when more trains isn’t always better, look at Dragon’s Fury at Chessie or as I like to call it “Stacker: the ride”.
September 24, 20186 yr comment_260352 I misread that as pants. My apologies. TTD in Cedar Point can run five trains at once, however that would never work on Stealth, as they would need to create a bigger station and launch area to accommodate for all of that. Even then, it would probably only still be able to run 3/4 trains at a time anyway. Still better capacity than Red Force though.
September 26, 20186 yr comment_260389 Stealths third train is for maintenance, due to the intense complexity of the ride, its impractical to overhaul/check/maintain the track, launch system, electronics and 2 trains. so to ease the burden on the staff the third train is overhauled during the open season in slow time, this means they only need to do one train in closed season as well as the rest of the ride.
