Everything looks good....I think...I think this time it's-it's going to workWarning: Coolant Levels DroppingNo....NO! NOafter blasting up the launch lift hill to approximately 40mph through a 105ft zero g roll the coaster accelerates down the hill into a cobra roll then directly into a 360 degree loop. the coaster then circled the launch section before going through a corkscrew which enters into hidden track behind the station and storm force acceleration where theres another corkscrew, turnaround and through the on ride photo section and then into the brake run before returning to the station. (I may have missed small sections/turns/etc)PLEASE DO NOT REDISTRIBUTE FEATURE…

I've decided to start this topic, as I've just seen the new Harry Potter film - The Half Bood Prince. This is for all of you who are big fans of Harry Potter, just like me, and want to discuss the construction of, and hopefully soon opening of: 'The Wizarding World of Harry Potter'. Thank you.

Adventure World is a small theme park in Perth Australia that is getting something rather large for November this year. A Gerstlauer Eurofighter which will be almost identical in layout to Saw. The guy from Adventure World clearly loves Saw as he has ridden it a few times and feels it will offer a great thrilling experience. A little video on the new ride, some nice clips of Saw plus the music, and a look at the manufacturing process at Gerstlauer. The indoor section (I'm guessing it will be enclosed) is already complete and does replicate Saw's (pictures from Adventure World's FB page). All very interesting and if they can make it so that there is no jol…

I imagine this won't attract much attention on this forum, however I think this is a particularly exciting development to Europe arriving in June this year! Adventure World Warsaw will contain several major features including a massive entertainment village, a theme park, a water park and two hotels. The theme park will be the first ever theme park to set foot in Poland and the water park will be the largest water park in the whole of Poland. The total cost of this project before opening is to be set around €620million and the resort plans to expand in the future. The theme park itself will contain 6 themed lands with over 50 guest experiences including 24 themed rides.…

Apologises for creating a thread about a ridiculously obscure park that next-to-no-one on here will likely visit any time soon, but I think it's worthy of its own thread.. So, Ankapark is a new park being built in Turkey, due to open in August 2016. And amazingly, they're planning on opening not 1, not 2, not 3, ... , but FIFTEEN roller coasters. Insane really. A full list of the coasters confirmed so far is on RCDB: http://rcdb.com/12017.htm Most interesting ones are naturally the Intamin 10-inverting (new style layout and presumably trains, like Altair) and an unknown Intamin family launch coaster (possibly like Juvulen). Unfortunately the rest of the coast…

  6. Hi All, I couldn't find a thread on this already so I figured I'd start my own. Wanted to know if any of you have ever been or are planning to go to Aquopolis water park in Spain? It is just down from PortAventura in a place called La Pineda and it claims to be... "The Best Water Park". Probably what made me choose this over Costa Cariba was that it also had a dolphin show at the end of the day so I felt I was getting a little more for money, and the ticket was slightly cheaper than Cariba as well. However, I probably wouldn't go back. Compared to the likes of Wet n Wild, Blizzard Beach etc in Florida this one doesn't really match up. That being said, some of the slide…

I couldn't find a topic about Parc Bagatelle, a small theme park in North France. Anyone ever been? What are your views? I went there a few years ago. I loved it, but their main ride, Le Triops, an inverted boomerang was closed EDIT: Changed the location from West to North

I have not been on this nor have I been to the theme park, but when I go back to Canada for holiday, I am for sure going to this theme park! :)Behemoth is a fairly new rollercoaster at Canada's wonderland, plus the longest and largest rollerocaster ever in all of Canada. I've looked at some of the POVs on youtube and the ride looks really insane! Have a look for yourself:

To be honest, I was just searching through the internet and a particular ride caught my attention...Black Mamba! This ride is located in phantasialand. This coaster is a Bolliger and Mabillard (B&M) Inverted Coaster.I can not believe, as seen from the video, How close Black Mamba gets to the ground!I think the music that is played on the video is the theme tune music for this ride! (anyone confirm?)Is the music the theme of the ride or just a song that already has an artist. (e.g. Like Tidal Waves songs). Here is a video off of You Tube. Judging by the video, the station theming looks amazing! And the theming around the ride seems incredible!Has anyone here been on t…

  12. A surprise recently when I got the chance to ride the Boulder Dash at Lake Compounce. Always had wanted this and suddenly, there I was. This is a brilliant wooden roller coaster that ascends a climb hill through trees across boulder strewn terrain, to then descend around the wooded hill then hug it's contours. Racing between the trees, and bobbing around corners reaching speeds of 60mph. Great airtime and with speed at low level it creates a fantastic ride. Hope I'm allowed to post this link?

  14. I'm surprised this isn't a topic so thought I may as well create it. This park is currently home to 3 B&Ms, and arrow looper, 2 Zierer coasters, a Premier Sky Rocket II, a predictable drop tower (you can say otherwise if you've ridden it) and some other rides I cannot be bothered to mention. This is said to be a very beautiful park which I could't agree more with after seeing images and videos. I'm not an expert on this park and I've never been so there's no point asking questions aimed at me (unless you're not a roller coaster fanboy/girl). 1 more thing; There's something big coming...

  15. In rather sad and unexpected news, it has been announced that California's Great America will be closing within the next 11 years, as Cedar Fair has sold the land it sits on to a company planning to develop it for real estate: https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20220623005938/en/Cedar-Fair-Capitalizes-on-Opportunity-to-Sell-Its-Land-at-California’s-Great-America-Amusement-Park This money is being used to reduce Cedar Fair's debt. I don't know about any of you, but this comes as a big surprise to me; CGA had a very elaborate masterplan only a few years ago, if I'm remembering correctly, so something must have changed drastically.

Canada’s Wonderland is perhaps the biggest and most famous theme park in Canada, who are part of the Cedar Fair Group. In 2019 the park will be opening Yukon Striker, their brand new dive coaster which will become the longest in the world. Valravn at Cedar Point currently holds that title. Promotional video and animated POV Not sure on the name or the second half, but there are some interesting elements in the ride’s layout. The drop going under the water which interacts with their swinging coaster Vortex, is probably my favourite looking part of the ride.

I've never been here but I REALLY want to! I mean 17 roller coasters that is awsome, expecially maverick, top thrill dragster + millenium force are rides I really want to go on!I don't think there's a topic about this already so I though I'd add one because it looks like a great park!

  19. Started by Luke_A,

Just looking through the Other Parks & Attractions sub-forum and realised Cedar Point doesn't have a topic, surely it deserves one as America's roller coast, eh!? Also the fact that with the news of their 2013 rollercoaster; I can imagine there will be a lot of discussion about the place over this years closed season and the coming months when we discover more about their major 2013 project. Anyway, they confirmed this news today on Twitter! So that's pretty much what we knew already, should be interesting when more details are announced about that possible B&M Wing Rider! And I wonder if that random spam of symbols will actually have any relevance to t…

Ocean Kingdom is a park in china which is themed to the ocean(as you can tell!) and has 3 coasters including a wing rider! More infomation here! Discuss the park here http://rcdb.com/8991.htm

Over the past few years, China has very much burst onto the theme park scene, with many parks being built from the ground up and seeing substantial coasters added. It's probably fair to say that some of B&M's, Intamin's and GCI's best-looking coasters over the past few years have ended up in China. And that investment doesn't seem to be slowing down, so here's the thread to discuss all things China! I'll start with a few good looking things... (All images sourced from VHCoasters on Facebook/Twitter unless said otherwise) Daxing East / Great Xingdong Tourist World Guizhou, south-west China Opening in 2018, this park featur…

So, the new movie themed park is well under way now! I know it's a little late but here are some photos from May 2013, showing the newer style Colossus taking shape: Looking Similar: New style of drop: Moving on to June 2013 now: And for some reason the final inversion is through a tunnel I've got to say, the new style of the clone is much more pleasing to look at, the inlines seem much more open with a fraction of the supports and I can only assume that to be down to the tri-railed track making it strong? Or Intamin realised it looked somewhat ugly to have a support every 5 foot! Photos used from TheParks.it, the rest of th construction galllery can be fo…

I know there is a poll but this fantastic place deserves a real topic in my opinion! With all the talk of Florida trips recently it has reminded me of the amazingness that is Disneyland California! So to start off a magical new ride based around the Little mermaid film:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIarm5FEQXI&feature=mh_lolz&list=FLmaqwRppLNLcRiders are given a backstory by a seagull before plunging underwater into the vibrant and soundsational ocean along with Sebastian, Ariel and Flounder of course! It's a great mixture between a fantasyland dark ride and the 'omnimover' system as seen in the Haunted Mansion too.Although this isn't a main attraction it is definit…
