Hyperia officially opens tomorrow, ending a 12 year drought of new coasters at Thorpe. Tonight is the press launch, which means there will be plenty of reviews about. As such, for anyone who doesn't want the station interior spoiled - or doesn't want to hear people's views - we'll have this thread here. We'll keep the other thread for construction / archiving. I'll post my views on Hyperia here tonight, and look forward to reading plenty more tomorrow!

The opening times for the 2026 season have appeared (subject to change). They're very similar to 2025: https://www.thorpepark.com/plan-your-visit/before-you-visit/opening-times/ Season starts on 27th March and finishing on 1st November, with 13 closed days during this time (mostly in September, with a couple of Wednesdays in April/May). The park closes at 5pm on weekdays, 6pm on weekends and school holidays and 7pm in August. Fright Nights starts on 2nd October and runs for 24 days up until 1st November, closing again at 9pm nightly. They're not bad opening hours for what we have on offer in the UK. I'll forever stay in the camp of saying I'd want later closing times…

Talk about anything to do with Tidal Wave here. I noticed there isn't really big queue's for Tidal Wave anymore exspecily for Winter. Isit due to people don't want to get wet or just not worth it?

We perhaps all have a habitual awareness of our personal items when on rides, and everybody is encouraged to secure loose items. Yesterday whilst on a ride, yes it was Stealth, a twelve year old girl was injured by being struck by a mobile phone. She was on the front row, the loser of the phone was in row eight. That phone, allegedly, was in a teenagers zipped pocket. As we on this site, all understand that on the brake hill, the severe braking induces an opposite effect on gravity, with all loose items then being thrown forward. Sadly, the phone hit the girl on top of the head causing a cut, and I dare say, bruising, it took a while for the bleeding to stop. Being…

idk why but I found out that thorpe park once was pretty active in this forum until around 10 years ago, so is there a reason why they even decided to be here of all places? (also funnily enough today I gave the account its first badge, 10 years after it went offline)

Just noticed Zodiac had no topic. I think it's pretty good although it's not one of my favourites. I'll go on it if the que isn't bad. I'd give it a three out of five. Anyone like it, anyone hate it?

I was really annoyed by the staff member letting people in at the swarm only letting the main queue in not even 1 fastrack person. it should at least be half and half if not some fastrack in then main queue which meant queuing normally for ride I would of actually got on it quicker. I got my money back on the swarm fastracks as I wasn't happy but apart from that I had a really great day/night at thorpe

Yesterday I was quite annoyed with some of the staff, especially on Vortex, Rush and Samurai! They seem to be having silly conversations in the middle of loading times which even added more time to the waiting times. They really need to keep focus and try to decrease the waiting time for that ride, instead of increasing! However, at least they were happy (ashame that most of the guests weren't).I must say though, the politeness of the staff yesterday were exellent, even the cleaners. But, I didn't like the attitude of a group of staff were a woman had asked nicely when some of the rides will reopen and they replied "Don't ask me, I don't even work here", when they clearly…

Colossus, an intamin mega loop ride was opened in 2002 and as the world first, and at the time only 10 looping coaster. Discuss the ride here.

I was extremely fortunate to be able to attend the Media Event this evening, and I can say that the event was simply epic. As is the ride. Best. Ride. Ever.Unfortunately, I didn't get many photos, due to the darkness and my camera hating the that. However, I can recall pretty much every fine detail. However, I'm tired, and don't have the effort to do that now. I will, however, do so tomorrow (I assume I'm allowed, haven't been told otherwise) and will give a ride review as well. The thread about just food and drink avalible from the park; whether its Burger King or Baguettes, Colossal Hot Dogs or Doughnuts you love, discuss your love and hate, issues and praises here.I always go to Crust at the end of Colossus, mainly because I love baguettes and they are really tastey, but also because I am not a lover of fast food. Now and again yeh, but every time gets abit too much.I think Thorpe Park and all the Tussauds attractions should install some more salad bars or fruit stalls in their parks to cater for those who want to eat healthy food - or just to avoid throwing up on rides.

To charge for staying in your car park, you must have terms and conditions displayed every so many yards, ie signs usually attached to lamp posts. There is none of this. There is no gate of barrier when you enter, which implies you're not trespassing by being there. Correct me if I'm wrong?

dont know if anyone has noticed, there has been an update to the thorpe park app with the new 2014 map.....quite a change!

Very good ride from thorpe but not sure as you also have vortex which can be seen as the same rides just one is bigger. I know they are very different but to the average person looking on they may see rush or vortex as a bit pontless, oh well just less queing for me!!
