Wasn’t sure whether to start a 2024 topic or one just for the map. In any case…. The 2024 map has been released. 2 main observations from me. One - seems strange to build the UK’s tallest coaster but opt for your map to be a 2D top-down view meaning you don’t see the height of the new ride. Two - they’ve very clearly put defined areas back on the map again here, but haven’t put area names on. This seems really weird?! Either commit to the themed areas or don’t have any at all. I think it makes the layout confusing as to the average guest there’s no rhyme or reason why certain rides and shops are grouped together. In any case, Sa…

https://www.thorpepark.com/resort-information/food-drink/restaurants I'm not sure if this has already discussed on here, but the Coffee Shack in the Dome is going to start selling Costa Coffee and their food. I think it will be nice to get a cup before I leave. I wonder if you will be able to get MAP discount here?

Now the hotel is open have created it a new topic separate to the one following its construction / Plans. Am quite impressed with it so far, the Reception area is themed well, like the little touches of the Thorpe Park signage. The style of it all reminds me of Alton Towers in a way, which is a good thing. The rooms are of a good quality, slightly bigger too but that may be only noticeable if you've stayed in the old Crash Pad. Quite impressed with the TV system, probably one of the better ones I've seen in a hotel.

With the release of the new map it’s got me reflecting of the time I worked at the park from 2009 to 2016. Personally I think the park hit its peak during 2011, the brand identity was full on and they knew exactly what they wanted it to be! They described it as ‘Johnny Knoxville’ and they went wild with it into owning that aspect. It worked, it was just insane day out. I remember that summer also being extremely hot, the park hitting capacity regularly and everyday literally being chaotic fun. As they moved away from the thrills element and wanted to go back to families even though the plan with their locations being close to one another was Legoland w…

Yesterday I visited Thorpe park with some friends. All week I was worried about size restrictions. I have a 47-48 inch chest, am 6ft1, and weigh around 20 stone. The first ride of the day was nemesis inferno. I needed a sharp push on the harness but everything was fine, didn't even feel tight. I rode this again later on in the dark and all was fine then as well. The next ride we went on was Samurai. Everything was completely fine again didn't even feel tight. the next ride we went on was Saw. Perfect amount of room, I doubt anyone couldn't ride that ride. We rode this three times throughout the day. With my confidence up we …

Seeing as there's already 6 MoS nights planned this year, I thought a topic should be made..! (That's if there isn't one already?? Maybe move this to General Discussion if not) It's great to see these nights becoming an integral part of Thorpe's calendar! Dates this year are: 12th April 10th May 7th June 5th July 27th September 8th November First up, Miami Sessions! Typical for the one that sounds most appealing to be on only a few days before I'm 18 https://twitter.com/THORPEPARK/statuses/439721758900621312 ps.. If someone could embed that tweet that would be cool. Been trying to figure out how to do it but have had no luck!

Hi guys. I'm sure that many members on here are seasoned visitors to Thorpe Park, and I wouldn't be surprised if some members have "gameplans", if you will, of how to best tackle the park. With this in mind, I'd be interested to know; in your view, which Thorpe Park coaster or group of coasters is best to start the day on? I only ask because I'm headed back to the park next month for my third solo day there, and I'm wondering whether to stick to my usual strategy or divvy it up. On my previous two visits, I've always found Stealth/Inferno to be a good duo to start on, as I've found that you can take a ride on both of those two as well as Detonator early on wit…

Hi guys. Thorpe Park may have arguably one of the UK’s most well-known and well-liked selections of thrill coasters, but another aspect of the park that is commonly revered is its lineup of flat rides. Thorpe’s flat ride lineup is arguably one of the most expansive and varied in the UK, or dare I say the world, with quite a plethora of thrilling flat rides on offer. There have also been some intriguing past residents within Thorpe Park’s flat ride lineup. With this in mind, I’d be interested to know; which past or present Thorpe Park flat ride is your favourite? Personally, I’m not the biggest lover of flat rides overall, and I’ve only actually done 3 of Thorp…

Storm in a Teacup is awesome, so here's a topic about it.Originally teacup twisters, then themed to Storm in a Teacup WHENEVER, and now Storm in a Teacup sponsered by tetley tea!No day at a Theme Park is complete without a ride on the teacups. (or similar (Marauders Mayhem anyone?))Oh and Chessington has teacups on their carousel, so that counts!Has anybody else noticed they're playing WWTP radio on storm in a teacup? Has it always been in Amity Cove?Video times: Teacup madness with Perry the Platypus is at 0:50 seconds!

Give me some of your most controversial Thorpe Park opinions. I'll go first... Logger's Leap was a mediocre log flume and the only reason why people miss it is because they're afraid of change.
