MattyMoo
I find it incredulous that there isn't a 2019 Season thread yet to discuss the future of Loggers Leap and speculation that Ramases Revenge finally moves to Thorpe. pluk and Han30

Stuntman707
Rameses is like trying to get your gran to play tennis. It keeps breaking down and makes questionable creeking noises but somehow it's still going. Makes you wonder if there's bits of Ripsaw in there. Talking about the undead, any news been released yet about freight fright nights? ConnorJ
Matt 236
Thorpe gaining Ramesis Revenge would be a poor idea.  should the unlikely day ever arrive they actually install one, it should be one of those floorless models like Talocan. Throw in some fire too and you not only have an even better ride but a U.K.  first too!  Other flat suggestions could include, a Loke gyro swing and Poly P spinner.  Just ideas though. JoshC.
Thorpe have updated their opening times on their website - they are now open every weekday this month (as opposed to having 10 close days), and are open 10-5 (as opposed to 10-4). Â They have also added two extra FN dates - Thursday 11th and 18th. jessica2
Project LC
Well done Thorpe. I never thought we would see 10-10 in the summer and them open all the time in September and October but here we are. Hopefully they can keep the good hours next year or make them even better.
L7123456
The website has since reverted to showing the closed days in September, and the two new Fright Nights dates have disappeared. Maybe it was accidentally published, or was published too early? Han30
Am at Thorpe today and one of the staff on Stealth was telling a guest that they are open throughout Sept so that’s odd! JoelAllen

JoshC.
Thorpe have been confirming via social media that the closed days that were changed to open days are now closed days again. Confusion! So the September calendar posted by Miles is the most up to date, correct, one. Â The two additional Fright Nights dates on Thursday 11th and Thursday 18th remain however. ProudToServe
It does seem the decision to open the park all sept was reverted due to staffing reasons.
Coaster
Out of interest, does anyone know why the trees around Stealth/The Swarm were removed?
Matt 236
I’d take a guess, but I’ll wait for things to blow over! RobF, Rach666 and Matt A 2
LK_
I liked the trees there before, made the swarm island feel more "by its self"Â Matt A

My thinking was so that people could see The Swarm easier from the Stealth queue line, as maybe people forget about it once they enter the park as it's so close to the entrance? (therefore diverting queues away from other rides)  Or am I basing my opinion of Thorpe's guests too low?
Stuntman707
Been messing with the new features on iOS 12 and have made a shortcut for queue times at Thorpe so now you can just ask Siri! https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/393fee455da348a2894bcfe272111126  (Go to shortcut settings and set a Siri phrase)
TPC
It seems that the old town family flat rides (rocky express, timber tug boat and lumber jump) will only be open from 10am-2pm Coaster
Marc
Got to the park for opening on Saturday and have the buffet breakfast a try - was £5 (£4 with ap discount) for the cooked buffet - absolute bargain and the food was decent too - will definitely do again!
