Coaster
Saw's warehouse looks really good theming wise.Does it? That's news to me... Kerfuffle and Jack F
TraX
Officially, the disused / abandoned theme has only been done once, with Saw (twice if you count Saw Alive). Isn't all of Amity 'disused' and 'abandoned' ? I think Merlin have really thought about the scruffy look, it will look great next to Saw, Storm Surge, the games unit, KFC, Tidal, Stealth, Storm in a Tea Cup, Rumba and Colossus.. Marc
Does it? That's news to me... To be fair as much as I'm not a fan of the ride id say saw is probably one of the better themed rides at the park - atleast the station - indoor section is actually quite well done imo

Benin
Gotta love Merlin's selective theming styles in order to avoid having to bother maintaining the attraction to a decent standard... "Oh it's meant to be falling apart, it's ABANDONED" We're never going to have something like Amity Cove again are we? That was a destruction themed area done so well... dragon2000, OldFarmerDean, Matt 236 and 1 other
OldFarmerDean
So when it says 'the island landscape is changing..' It really isn't that much, just another abandoned warehouse haha!
J.S217
Not to fussed about the abandoned warehouse theme. Saw's warehouse looks really good theming wise. Even if it is a "Warehouse". It's not warehouse it's a disused Mannequin factory!!! JoshuaA
alexander
warehouses, shipping containers, are thorpe soon going to be announcing their retirement from the theme park industry and go into industrial? TraX
It's easy and cheap. Merlin all over, it's literally as simple as that. Just hope Simworx can pull off a great experience.

The bathroom scene is good though. From the outside it's just a warehouse disguised as a warehouse.

JoshC.
Mainly cos Forbidden Caves was bloody diabolical... Forbidden Cave was done by Holovis, not Simworx.
Benin
That would certainly explain why Lost Temple is superior then... Though given how they're pretty much the same thing (like, ride system wise), that raises some interesting questions...
JoshuaA
Does it? That's news to me... It just looks right to theme.. Saw is actually not badly themed IMO. I guess it is easy though. The Saw theme means Merlin just need to get a warehouse and not theme it and call it "themed". Coaster
OldFarmerDean
low maintenance is the word we're looking for in terms of what they look for in themeing... I think they think the same about rides and get it all wrong haha

L7123456
Is any building construction visible from anywhere outside the park? I would guess not because the building is to small but idk.
JoshC.
Construction of a dark ride is boring, let's face it. And to be honest, we've had the most 'exciting' part, in seeing the site being cleared and the frame for the building put up. And to call that exciting is clutching at straws. You can see part of the building from Monks Walk, assuming there's not many trees in the way and the like. But all we'll likely see is some cranes moving stuff about and some exterior theming being put up in January / February time. Next clue is actually due very soon (they said middle of November I think?), but I assume it will just be a very small, teasing, clue that has next-to-no details about the attraction. I'm expecting another code with a picture and a paragraph of text for all us fans to over-analyse for another month to be honest.
Nick Hutson
Was at Derren Brown's live show today - and everyone got a scratch-card advert for the new attraction in a gold envelope. The show was amazing - no hints but it re-instilled into me how much a wonderful showman he is and made me very excited for whatever he and Merlin have planned for us! I would attach a photo but I am "not allowed to use that image extension on this community" so forgive me for trying to post a twitter picture. Here's a link: Edited November 18, 2015 by JoshC. Nick Hutson
You said it was a scratch card Nick, what was under the scratch part? 20% off in the Derren Brown Attraction retail shop - but could've won thorpe shark hotel breaks, annual passes, fastracks, VIP coaster climbs or a backstage tour. stretchy, Ricky, Glitch and 1 other
L7123456
Just to throw this out there, Thorpe won't be opening in Feb Half Term this year. This is probably completely off topic and had nothing to do with the attraction but I posted it here anyway Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk slendercat
