The thread for any photos, views and such about Fright Nights 2020! If any photos or videos come about from inside the mazes through tonight's preview night, feel free to post them, but still use Spoiler tags just in case.

  2. For things that will occur during the 2020 season and isn't really something being done over closed season I felt it was right to create this thread. Thorpe Park are getting proper lifeguards next year this year (link to job ad for the supervisor position): https://merlin.csod.com/ux/ats/careersite/4/home/requisition/5304?c=merlin The description states that Amity Beach used to be run by the attractions department (didn't know that tbh) but they're transitioning to lifeguards: I'm not sure why they've made that decision but one could make the leap that they're planning on doing something to that area for 2020/ future years.

You mean it's almost July and we don't have a Fright Nights thread? What's going on?! (what do you mean there's a pandemic??) Following yesterday's updates about theme parks being allowed to reopen, the Thorpe Breaks website tweaked the Fright Nights information: Originally, Fright Nights had been planned to start October 3rd, but that's now been pushed back by 2 weeks. Obviously the very idea of scare attractions in the traditional sense this Halloween is still very much up for debate right now. There's plenty of smaller events which are debating about running at all. Many are thinking of drastic changes. I wouldn't read into any…

  4. Started by Marc,

We are rapidly approaching the end of the 2019 season so a good time for this thread I felt! So what would you realistically like to see the at the park in 2020? We know there will be no new rides, but that don’t mean we can’t see some worthwhile improvements ! For me: Firstly build on this years “year of events” bouncezilla was harmless fun, I’d like to see more of a summer event, I think they struggled a bit staying open late with no real purpose what saw it them cut, try give people more of a reason to stay later in summer. Would also like to see them try a firework event again - the park always had a great atmosphere during fireworks a…

  5. Started by Marc,

Saw Alive opened in march 2010, what are your opinions? After a couple of goes I'm pretty impressed, the theming is top notch, best of any maze I've been through. The actors were pretty good today also really getting into their roles!

As one fright night ends, the speculation for the next year begins. What do you want to see come to the event for 2019?

  7. Started by Marc,

With Fright Nights well underway the 31st is fast approaching - the park have started some very early marketing for 2019. A sign has gone up over the exit and a page has been setup at https://www.thorpepark.com/2019 to sign up to be the first to hear more information on 2019. So what would you like to (realistically) see for 2019? I’m not expecting any new attractions for next season and that’s probably a good thing - the park can really focus on what it has and going from there. For me id like to see: Clarity on Loggers Leap future - if it’s returning or not I think this really needs to be decided /…

  8. Started by Mark9,

The Bear Hunt which opened on Saturday is a look out for bears through the Canadian Rockies.. so what do you think of the Canada Creek alterations and the attraction itself?I thought it was bloody excellent and Tussauds first real attempt at theming at the park since Tidal Wave. Considering it seemed to be a last minute thing, it's really been pulled of nicely. Its a bit short but considering its using something that otherwise would have been left blank its a great little ride that Families will enjoy.

All things spoilers for Fright Nights 2019 are discussed here! --- I attended Press Night tonight, and I'll give some brief spoilery thoughts about the mazes. However, it's very hard to judge the mazes based on run-throughs of tonight; I experienced them in such small groups (and on more than one occasion, alone), making it unfair to judge. Creek Freak Massacre This will get a very good reaction from the masses. It's very well themed, has lots of good effects, good opportunities for the actors to scare you, and of course chainsaws. There's some multi-route aspects and I encountered 3 chainsaws during my goes. And, importantly, this…

After reading the news on TPM that the farm will not be returning I've got mixed feelings.1st, Great new rides / new zone, even thou they will seriously have to improve access to the new area. But will there be a new area, there is a residential area right behind it, seems like Thorpe maby looking at doing an Alton Towers I.e. a car park where the farm is and a shuttle service into the park as some of the current car park is to be used as a hotel. Still shows that somthing big is happening and change and progress are a good thing.but 2nd, quite sad, I remember going to the farm as a kid used to love it especially when you used to go on the train and come back on the fer…

I don't really remember the ride but I thought it might be worthy of disscussion.

Surprised we don't have a thread for this yet... To kick this thread off (since opening times are being talked about elsewhere), it has been revealed that, as expected, the Annual Pass Day this year will be on Sunday 18th March. Yay. Use this thread for any discussion of the 2018 season generally (shock horror!)...

Was very excited to find this today on Apple Music! Don’t know how long it’s been there or how it got there but brought back some amazing memories from my childhood! Has anyone noticed this? I would love them to bring back the rangers for the birthday celebrations, but seeming less and less likely! Anyone got any great stories or remember these banging tunes! How’s

I feel like I remember seeing some old plans of the family coaster that was planned for 2001 to replace wicked witches haunt, but due to budget restraints ended up being detonator! And for some reasons I seem to remember it possibly being a family launch coaster or a booster bike type coaster. Does anyone else know of any details of this project? or they whereabouts of such plans or even discussions regarding this?

With the Annual Pass preview event today, we can expect reviews of mazes old and new to come rushing in. Please post them here and not elsewhere!

  21. Thorpe Park has expanded terrifically over the recent years to become the great park it has now become. However along the way, the park has sadly closed and removed a number of rides attractions. Out of all the many lost rides at the park, which one do you miss the most?

Though not related directly to The Walking Dead, Zombie Hunt forms part of The Year of The Walking Dead activities. Th experience runs July 21st - September 3rd. Details are still vague at the moment, but with Thorpe releasing a new map, and them starting marketing, we are getting a bit more detail to piece together. The vague idea seems to be an outdoor laser quest type thing, where you get to shoot zombies. It'll be based somewhere around Platform 15, and be suitable for families. It appears in particular there will be 'characters' within the experience as well, which could make it a lot more exciting and interesting: …

  23. LOVE ISLAND COMING TO THORPE PARK?! 'An Island Like No Other' So as I saw there was no forum topic on this so I thought I would create this!. So as you may know that there is a show called Love Island which first aired in 2015 and grew very popular since with the young adults and many other audiences. Love Island is pretty self explanatory it is a dating show on an island in which people couple up with each other and face challenges as a couple in order for the final couple to win 50k between them!. So this rumour of Love Island has been going around the Resort for a couple years now and I think this year may be the year in whic…

What do you think the future holds for Canida Creek. Will Canida creek railway ever return or will Loggers leap reopen. Also has the juvenile Zamperla ride Lumber Jump be returned to use ( I herd it closed correct me if I'm wrong? Alternatively do you think Canada Creek will remain Old Town as we know it today? post any known rumours or leaked news here! many thanks ThemePark Fanatic.

  25. Something new is coming to Thorpe Park in 2018. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10159652058415624&id=283706330623 Some form of 'world first' (of course, it's Merlin ), though no other indication as to what or where though. No idea what this could be, but suggestions welcome (anyone who suggests a top spin in any way will be banned forever though )
