With all the credit crunch and the fact that a lot of the rides at the Pleasure Beach are old, and half of them are owned by the bank, do you think Blackpool Pleasure beach will survive much longer?. what are your thaughts

Well, I've never visited the park but as it is now part of our Annual Passes it might see a few more visits from us lot. Posted up on the new Annual Pass website.."Annual Pass holder preview dayWe invite you celebrate the start of the 2008 season at LEGOLAND® Windsor before we open to the general public. Come along…"Anyway, discuss the park etc. in this topic.

The London Dungeons is now part of the merlin/tussauds line up, and has been a popular family attraction for many a year. Recently the dungeons have been installing ride attractions including Xtremis: The Drop Ride to Doom - or sommat. But what do you think - really scary? or just mildly gory. Chat Chat Chat!

So so this is all coming up soonish! Tickets have gone on sale for July already so opening very soon! I was surprised a topic had not been started about it in all honesty From what I have read and seen it looks very similar to what the London Dungeons provides but with a different theme and possibly target audience, it will be interesting to see what it has on offer when it finally opens! Here is the current site for those interested https://www.shreksadventure.com/london/

I was quite shocked to see that there was no topic for the East Coasts finest fun fair/theme park. I go there every year and it is one of those theme parks that although there is nothing of major thrill...it is never really boring. The wooden rollercoaster is a real experience and I would recommend going there purely to try this out! Apparently they have added a new rollercoaster this year...a family spinning wild mouse although I have seen no photos or publicity of this...

Looks like the Thorpe Park Twitter have begun slipping in a few misplaced 0’s into their tweets - innocent mistakes? Or something a little more exciting.... EXHIBIT A: EXHIBIT B: EXHIBIT C : MOD EDIT - Speculation for 3 pages, confirmation of what 'Project Zer0' was from page 4.

  18. Sorry if there is already a Pleasurewood hill's topic, I couldn't find one.So who has been here and what is your opinion of the theme park?I went once years and years ago and may be going again next month.Do the queues get as big as Thorpe park and Alton towers?Anyone been on Wipeout? it looks quite fun!

Star Struck? well just head down to madame tussauds in London! Start your day by sneaking past the paparazzi and attend a photo shoot with Kate Moss. Then mingle with Brad, Angelina and all the other stars in your very own premiere party before taking your challenge in the Big Brother Diary room. And theres so much more...But wait! its not just London - Madame Tussauds New York, Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, Madame Tussauds Amsterdam, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong and Madame Tussauds Shanghai.

It looks like there is potential for a UK Universal attraction. Taken from Attraction Source: Universal have registered the domain names “universalstudiosgreatbritain.com” & “universalgreatbritain.com” using the same registrar as their other park website domains around the world In September. Comcast, the owner of Universal, recently acquired a construction and development company on 31st August called Cloud Wing UK Limited. Cloud Wing UK was itself already the parent company of two UK subsidiaries, Kempston Hardwick Developments Ltd and SC Collection Ltd, meaning Comcast indirectly acquired these companies and their assets. From facebook Theme park logic: Breaking news: Company behind Fantasy Island goes into administration The company which owns an amusement park in Skegness has gone into administration. Conduit Skegness Limited, and associated group trading companies, own Fantasy Island - which includes theme park rides, Europe’s largest permanent seven-day market and 340 static caravan pitches. I thought there was a Brean topic, but can't seem to find one so thought I'd make one! The ex-Hastings "Speed Wave" Mondial Top Scan is open at the park until September. Unknown if it will return to Hastings, or go travelling again after it's temporary stay at Brean. The ride is still owned by the Hastings owners but is on loan to Brean.

Just something what I've noticed more and more recently on not just these forums but various forums about the UK's parks is the slating of Merlin and it got me thinking are they really that bad? I know people don't like things such as paid fastrack but these are things which have been around way before Merlin got involved with Thorpe / Alton / Cwoa, and what business sense would it be for them to come in and but that what must be fairly high revenue stream? I think Merlin have actually done a pretty good job with "The big 3" of our parks since they took over.. At Towers we've had: Mutiny Bay - Much better than what was previously there, well themed and good area IMO …
