Has anyone done any Halloween events in Europe, and if so any recommendations? I did Asterix last year which was great so I’m keen to try some others this year, looking at potentially doing Walabi Holland and Belgium but any thoughts would be appreciated If anyones done either of the Walibi parks at Halloween what did you think of them?

Just seeing as they have a new coaster for 2009, I thought I should make a topi about Europa Park. Launched, looks good!If anyone here has been to EP, I expect you'll be as excited as I am, if it's to the same amazing quality that the other installations there have been

Just looking through the Other Parks & Attractions sub-forum and realised Cedar Point doesn't have a topic, surely it deserves one as America's roller coast, eh!? Also the fact that with the news of their 2013 rollercoaster; I can imagine there will be a lot of discussion about the place over this years closed season and the coming months when we discover more about their major 2013 project. Anyway, they confirmed this news today on Twitter! So that's pretty much what we knew already, should be interesting when more details are announced about that possible B&M Wing Rider! And I wonder if that random spam of symbols will actually have any relevance to t…

Couldn't find a topic so started on. Hong Kong Disneyland has always felt the small, overshadowed and forgotten Disney resort (though Paris is also debatable). However, this looks likely to change through a major new multi-year development scheme. One of the main main and most interesting parts of the scheme will see the Sleeping Beauty Castle, which will be transformed and aesthetically changed. Source-TDR Explorer The castle looks to adding to the castle rather than completely rebuilding. Still a first in Disney as this will be the first castle in park history to be extensively changed since opening. …

Did check for another topic on DLRP but couldn't find one, if it was just me being an idiot, sorry :)Basically I visited Disneyland Paris (or Euro Disney as it was then) twice when I was younger, and I'm visiting this summer and would love to know any tips/ or what has changed. Or even just to discuss opinions on rides and attractions. The most obvious change I can see is that there is now a second park. Also I am staying on-site at Santa Fe (any reviews on this particular hotel?) , I have read that hotel guests can get into the park 2 hours before park opening, does anyone know what rides open/ usually open at this time, and also I read a while ago that hotel guests get e…

Disney and Miral just announced a brand new resort park in Abu Dhabi. Looks like they have gone down a different route and are doing something different to the usual castle park(judging by the concept art) Disney and Miral Announce New Seventh Theme Park Planned for Abu Dhabi Disney Announces Plans for New Theme Park and Resort with Miral in Abu Dhabi

Again I find myself following an European park building a brand new B&M, so let's have a topic about the park and ride...I visited the park for the first time last year, and throughly enjoyed the rides and atmosphere, with the classy Tonnerre de Zeus being backed up by Goudrix (not as bad as people say) in the current big coaster stakes, and some excellent theming and rides dotted around the park...See my TR in the link below for some pics...http://forum.maniahub.com/topic/7404-paris-parc-asterix-et-piscines/And next year, a B&M Inverted will arrive...http://www.potionmagix.fr/forumix/nouvelle-zone-attraction-2012-parc-asterix-t1271-430.html#p33432Hopefully this n…

If you dont know what on earth I am on about or where exacally I am talking about, here is some info:Park Name: PhantasialandLocation: Germany, Bruhl near CologneBuilt: No IdeaRides: Themed like gods;--> Black Mamba (B&M Inverted - Think Nemesis... but african)--> Mystery Castle (Intamin Bungee Drop - Think Deto- ... actually dont)--> Colarado Adventure: Micheal Jackson Thrill Ride (Dont let the name put you off)--> Winjas Fear and Force (Possibly the two best spinning coasters on this planet…

We have a variety of threads for parks all around the world. But it's perhaps hard to track things. And there's also plenty of parks which we don't have threads for. BUT. Loads of parks around the world are getting new major rides for 2025. So let's try something new, and track them all in one thread. So this will be the life and soul of any non-UK ride getting built. Some bigger / more popular parks / rides might get their own thread / attention, but this is for a bit of everything... So here's a few to get us started... Walibi Holland are getting YoY, a pair of duelling RMC single rail raptors... The green trac…

I don't think we have a topic (I searched) for this park yet, and we're gonna need one... Why? Because it's getting a wooden coaster next year, is generally fab, and is only 45 minutes away from Calais! I visited yesterday and was lucky enough to get to chat to two management staff and try and coax SOME information about the planned wooden coaster for next year... Unfortunately we couldn't, but found out some interesting information about the park and the Plopsa brand (they own 5 parks, including Holiday Park) in general... As for this year, they're theming up their Teacups to a new IP of their own (Studio 100 own the Plopsa parks, so they are filled with thei…

Another excellent park in Europe, although its mainly a family park, the amount of effort that goes into everything is awsome. They built a new water coaster in 2006 called 'Vliegende Hollander' (which traslates as 'The Flying Dutchman), but it kept valleying and had so many problems so it didnt actually open at all in 2006 and hopefully it will be open in 2007.Here are some photos from my visit this year.

The World's Most Underrated Theme Park - Genting SkyWorlds Malaysia Review Great review of this park. One of the oddest ones out there I think. On top of a mountain, previously known as 20th Century Fox World Malaysia. Essentially a licensed Disney park with all of the IP's that probably don't fit into a normal Disney park. Its crazy how much IP Disney owns now!

I didn't really know where to put this tbh, but seeing I couldn't find an existing/ appropriate topic, I thought I would create one. Sad news has been announced at Universal Singapore today it's been confirmed their roller coaster Battlestar Galactica will be closed for good. The ride, the tallest duelling coaster in the world, has been plagued with operational and technical problems since day one when it opened in 2010 and will be replaced with a new ride at the end of the year. Full details about the article can be found here https://sg.news.yahoo.com/blogs/what-is-buzzing/troubled-universal-studios-singapore-ride-battlestar-galactica-closes-084334087.html

Hey wasn't sure if this deserved it's own thread or not since I'm not sure I'll write a follow up report or anything but I was planning on visiting Walibi Holland in August, honestly I don't know much about the park (though I've heard it compared to Thorpe Park in that it's more about the big thrills than family stuff in a lot of ways) and I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on visiting there or anything (best days to visit or what I should go on first etc) I'm looking forward to trying Robin Hood since I've never been on a wooden rollercoaster before and Goliath looks quite fun too, I haven't really been to any international theme parks before (well I …

Couldn't find a topic, so I started one. Shanghai will be Disney's next big stand alone park, which will feature a lot of different takes of the classic Magic Kingdom design such as no Main Street, a Tron themed motorbike coaster (instead of Space Mountain) and a whole area dedicated to Pirates Of The Caribbean. Above is construction of the new pirates ride, which so far looks hugely impressive (as you'd expect from Disney really). The parks opening in the first half of 2016, which has seen a delay from the originally planned December 2015 date.

Interesting vid about Six Flags, and the endangered amusement park. Six Flags & The Endangered Amusement Park Was thinking that Thorpe Park was on the ball back in 2008 for the SAW IP, seeing the future trend of IP in parks. Saying that, Six Flags did have WB IP in the parks in the early 2000's. I suppose parks in the UK don't directly compete with the likes of Disney/Universal, whereas in the States Six Flags kind of do.

Grona Lund is small'ish amusement park located in Stockholm which is probably the 2nd biggest park in Sweden [after Liseberg]. For 2017 the park will be building a giant new drop tower called Ikaros. The ride will be 95 metres tall [aprox. 311ft] and will be similar to Falcon's Fury as it will be using tilting seats.

I don’t think there’s a topic on this park yet. This may well be the most beautiful theme park out there! The theming is just next level, it’s such a pretty park I am very glad I took the day to go. That said you probably don’t need more than a day. I hear they are expanding the park in 2022 with a new ‘port’, themed on tangled, frozen and Peter Pan, so that should help with the crowding. Some of the food options were very memorable including garlic shrimp popcorn and potato churros. Journey to the centre of the earth was a fun ride, and both Indiana Jones rides were quite dull, so it will be interesting to hear what rides the new port will ha…

Energylandia is the biggest theme park in Poland and looks to have a very exciting future ahead. This year, it invested in a Vekoma launch coaster called Formula 1 which looks like a really wild ride! But, for 2018, the park will be opening a mega coaster. 2 layouts have been shortlisted and both have been released to the public. These layouts are from Vekoma and Intamin and the park are giving the public the chance to vote for which one they would like to see built. Personally, I prefer Vekoma's design, but what do you think is the better design? Discuss that, and anything related to Energylan…

I know there is a poll but this fantastic place deserves a real topic in my opinion! With all the talk of Florida trips recently it has reminded me of the amazingness that is Disneyland California! So to start off a magical new ride based around the Little mermaid film:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIarm5FEQXI&feature=mh_lolz&list=FLmaqwRppLNLcRiders are given a backstory by a seagull before plunging underwater into the vibrant and soundsational ocean along with Sebastian, Ariel and Flounder of course! It's a great mixture between a fantasyland dark ride and the 'omnimover' system as seen in the Haunted Mansion too.Although this isn't a main attraction it is definit…
